We continue our digital culinary travel into the Central Asian cuisine with one of the best and most popular cook at post-Soviet countries - Stalik Khankishiev. He is a famous author of numerous culinary books, self-made cook, TV host, blogger and looks like just a great human. We added English subtitles to his videos (he speaks Russian), so you could enjoy his master skills at your home. Today we will cook Lagman - delicious Uighur dish consisting of noodles and meat and vegetables. We hope you will try to cook this dish with us!


Laghman is a Central Asian dish of pulled noodles, meat and vegetables. The noodle is known as latiaozi in China

It is especially popular in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, where it is considered a national dish of the local Uyghur and Dungan ethnic minorities. It is also popular in Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Northeastern Afghanistan, where chickpeas are added to it and in the Chitral and Gilgit regions of Northern Pakistan, where it is known as Kalli or Dau Dau. The Crimean Tatar cuisine also adopted lagman from the Uzbek culture
