Your Tour and Covid-19 / Coronavirus in Kazakhstan
The situation about Coronavirus (COVID-19) is changing everyday. We follow recent news and hope that the information below will help you make an informed decision on your travel plans to discover Kazakhstan.
Due to the ongoing pandemic and local travel restrictions we had to cancell all our trips from March to August of 2020. We must put the well-being of our guests first and follow the best recommendations from local authorities.
We also recognise the increased uncertainty that COVID-19 may be causing in your own trip planning. To help you book with confidence, we are offering an exceptional cancellation policy: until the situation has stabilised, we will be extending the option of a 100% refund on all new bookings made after March 16, 2020, for cancellations made more than 24 hours prior to a tour. Also you can pay for any of our tours on arrival.
What's happening on the ground in Kazakhstan?
On Monday March 16 2020, the President of Kazakhstan announced the emergency state which means closing all tourist and heritage sites in the Republic of Kazakhstan (as well as schools, creches, colleges and universities) until April 15th.
During the state of emergency, a restriction will be introduced on entry and exit through the state border for the citizens of Kazakhstan and foreign states.
As for the date of 18th of July 2020, the situation unfortunately became even more complicated compared to the spring 2020: numbers of infected people are growing, and for now we don't see any improvements. Our country is going through tough times. Currently we are back into second quarantine. We would advise to postpone your trip to Kazakhstan at least until September if the situation will get better.
Our Commitment To Our Guests
Above all, Friendly Tours are committed to the health and safety of our guests.
Because we mostly operate small tours with limited numbers, we will be able to incorporate regular cleaning and sanitizing into our daily routine. Each of our tour guides is equipped with disinfectant sprays, disposable paper towels for single-use, hand sanitisers for guest use, as well as all of the latest emergency contact details. Kazakhstan is not highly popular tourist destination yet so we generally do not have overcrowded places in our tours.
